Seoul, Korea South, 17th Oct 2024 – The GESIA (Green Earth Social Impact Alliance) project has announced plans to launch a Layer 3 platform based on the Ethereum blockchain, aiming to contribute to global Net-Zero goals. This platform will transparently manage carbon emission data on the blockchain, allowing users to view the data in real time through a partnership with Etherscan.
In particular, the GESIA project is set to become the first Layer 3 platform to initiate synchronization between Ethereum’s blockchain and its state data. This synchronization will ensure seamless integration of carbon-related data with the Ethereum network, providing more efficient management and transparency.
Additionally, the project is currently in discussions with Etherscan to utilize its EaaS (Etherscan as a Service) feature, which will allow users to directly access the GESIA project and easily track carbon emissions and reduction activities. The GESIA team is also negotiating with ConsenSys, aiming to explore ways to enhance the platform’s technical stability and scalability by leveraging blockchain technology.
A GESIA spokesperson stated, “We aim to increase the transparency and reliability of carbon emission management by utilizing Ethereum’s Layer 3 solutions, contributing to the global carbon neutrality objectives.” The collaboration with both Etherscan and ConsenSys is expected to bolster the project’s technical foundation and play a significant role in addressing climate change.
